maddie-and-harleyIn Person Consultation: $150 (this is applied to package price when you sign up).

If you are considering training, you can contact me and we will set up a time to do an in-person consultation.  This is the first step to determining if you want to pursue a training program for you dog.  The following is what is covered during a consultation:

During this consultation we will:
*talk in depth about your dog(s) – What struggles you are having, what has been working and what isn’t working.
*discuss options for training tools
*discuss the basics of training; you and your dog will get an intro into my training techniques and style of training
*we will go over leash handling and the basics of building a mutually respectful relationship between you and your dog.
*discuss ongoing training process so you can decide if this is the right program for you and your dog.

4 Week Training Program:

Is your dog jumping up on people?  Pulling on leash?  Barking excessively?  Chewing things up? Reacting poorly to other dogs while on leash?  Unable to behave calmly at home? Refuse to come when called or just not listen at all?

During these sessions we will focus on:
*teaching all basic commands on leash (come, sit, down, place, heel)
*kenneling routine
*waiting politely for food
*waiting at thresholds (i.e. no pushing/rushing out doorways)
*polite and calm leash walking
*calm behavior and good manners in the home
*you will have a way to effectively communicate with your dog that you have never experienced before and your dog will understand what you want (this in and of itself will alleviate many of the issues you are struggling with).

8 Week Training Program :

Do you have a dog that you want to be as reliable off leash as they are on a leash?  Are you looking to be able to take your dog to places that allow them to run leash free and know that you can get them back with 100% reliability?  Are you looking for the ability to communicate with your dog from a distance?

Or maybe you have a dog that has more significant behavioral issues such as embarrassing, out of control behavior when they see another dog.  Or perhaps they guard resources (i.e. they won’t allow you to take bones, socks, or the random cheese wrapper they found on the floor) and pose a safety risk when trying to retrieve items from them.  Maybe you have a dog that engages in serious fence fighting with the neighbor dog.

If any of these sound like what you are looking for help with, this is the program for you!
